What the *beep*? They killed Ernie Hudson's(Winston from Ghostbusters) character off. He went out like a Hero, but they didn't have to do that. *cries* All in all a pretty good The Thing/Alien rip-off of a movie. However I was rooting for Ernie Hudson's character to live but we knew that they were going let us down by killing him off. Also, I guess the fact it looked like he was giving the monster the Middle Finger when his body was in the water was pretty funny.

As filming was wrapping up, the studio realized they had made a serious oversight: the black man in a horror film was still alive. So they had to hurriedly write & film an additional ending scene to kill him off. If only the editor had been less observant, Ernie Hudson's character would have survived!
