I did when i was 7 and thought it was a great flick

I'm not sure if this was released nationally. But, in the DC area movie theaters were very hostile towards black films in '89. They typically ran for a few weeks before being rushed to video. I found out about this film from watching Big Daddy Kane's music video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aFFldprjJo), then rented the movie a few weeks later.

Yeah, I remember seeing it in theaters and I was the only white man in the theater and I kept getting mean looks from people whenever I would laugh at the parts in the movie that was supposed to be serious. I embarrassed my girlfriend badly...
