Baltimore Teacher gets BEAT UP!!

Last week, April 10, an art teacher at a high school in Baltimore, was punched in the face several times by a girl (as the class cheered the girl on), because she (the teacher), told the girl to sit down and be quiet. This is happening ALL OVER and it's time for this nonsense to STOP ! Teachers don't go to college and get a degree just to get beaten up in the process. These parents need to take responsibility for their OWN KIDS and stop blaming everybody else ! The girl only got SUSPENDED ! I would sue the HE11 out of that school !

Also teachers aren't allowed to touch the students.....but could they to defend themselves?

no teachers are not allowed to defend themselves if it will hurt the child. they have to stand there and take it.

but the theory in that is that the kid gets way worse later, in punishment. the reason it backfires now is that the teacher stands still defenseless then the child does whatever then doesn't pay any price for it. punishments are too easy on students now. thanks to lawsuits, and liberal courts

The student and teacher in this case were black, however, two WHITE students beat up an elderly teacher in Chicago(this happened recently), so RACE has NOTHING to do with it, if that's what you're TRYING to imply.

Melissa, I had heard that Mr. Serling had said such in a documentary clip, but I've never known anyone else who had heard the quote..

I kind of agree with him, but if someone gets all whacked out and writes quality material, the end result is still good writing whether the person is a "good writer" or not.

I dig some whiskey when I'm writing.

A buddy read a scene from one of my screenplays, laughed his proverbial ass off and asked me, "Was there Bourbon involved with writing this one?"

Actually, it was sour mash, but he could tell I'd had a few, and I may not have come up with the piece if I wasn't lit.

As for the Baltimore school teacher who was assaulted, it's quite unfortunate. I've known teachers in inner-city school districts.

A buddy of mine taught math for 25+ years in Newark, NJ, which is about as rough as it gets.

He's told me many horror stories.

He said that kids would indeed rat pack a kid and tear off their clothes.

My buddy said that he and other teachers would see this and they would offer their jacket or sweater afterwards.

It was all they could do. It would be insane to try to intervene.

Yes, race sort of does matter because there is way more black on white crime than the other way around, but all your liberal brainwashing and conditioning has got you terminating that type of thinking! Do I need to break out the stats for you?

Just suspended? She should've been expelled! Judge Joe Brown would've jacked that girl's butt up a bit. And if I was that teacher, I'd sue the school too as well as the parents of that brat whore who will probably grow up to be a hooker on drugs.

When you state a fact, you should also provide a link or two to support it. If not, anyone can say anything. This said, this beating doesn't surprise. As long as we keep animals in the educational system with the false hope to educate them, and doing this by endangering thousands of innocent students that get attacked, bullied and who knows what else, society will not progress.

And the worst part is, if the teacher defends themselves they get arrested for child abuse. You couldn't pay me enough to want to be a teacher.

Damn. I know that this thread is old but it's really a shame. And if the teacher had decided to fight back to defend herself...she would have been in the wrong...hence why she got beat up.

With all due respect to the OP, but why is he/she posting this? The sad reality is that this sort of thing happens in all inner city schools, not just Baltimore.

Maybe if authorities were to arrest and jail these kids for the acts they and give them the punishment they deserve, they might think twice before committing such egregious acts.
