Is LA Takedown not the most awesome title?

Hm. I thought 5.8 (which it is at time of writing) was a pretty flattering rating for a movie with such a crap title. Strange, though... I saw on the forum for 'Heat' (also directed by Mann) somebody posting saying that it was originally going to be called L.A. Takedown and how much better a title that would have been. He was roundly shot down by about everyone who has an ounce of taste. L.A. Takedown is an awful title... Only movies with Silly Stallone and Jean Claude Van Damme should have titles like that...

I don't know, when you think of takedown as a score then I think the title works great, unfortunately when you think of a takedown as in cagefighting it does sound rather cheesy

I knew this movie as Made in L.A, in fact the film had the this title on the VHS early editions. I prefer L.A Takedown as the title over the one i mentioned

i dont see whats wrong with it.
There have been other films and books with "takedown" in the title
