Alternate (real) pack with money in it.and other questions

I'm a bit confused...When the two Indians pull Jack out of the water and up the hill, suddenly a pack of money appears right next to Jack. This doesn't make sense to me. Where did it come from? I would assume that the alternate pack with the money would have been buried somewhere near the briefcase and Jack would have had to dig it up after the Indians pulled him out of the water and up the hill. The movie producers kind of left that out in my opinion and shortcut it to the point of it not making sense. This is rather sloppy movie editing or writing...Unless there is something I am not getting...

Also did anyone notice how Fay's hair changed color inconsistently a few times? They must have had to shoot the 2 bedroom scenes in the Overton? (wherever they were) cottage before she put on the hair dye. Then they used one of the bedroom scenes (with her lighter hair) after she supposedly died her hair...Anyway. that kind of bugged me and was another sloppy movie making move...

Also, at the first motel where they "killed" Fay.... I found it very unrealistic that Jack would have left Fay's purse in the motel room without totally checking out the contents(ergo leaving the note with his name and number) That was really stupid and poorly thought out on Jack's part. He seemed to me to be a much smarter guy than that. But I guess the excuse might be that Fay's female charms were dis-arming enough to him that he got super stupid for awhile.

Well spotted. I guess the pack was put there for convenience.

I noticed her hair style changed throughout the movie. Just checked the Overton scenes. Yes her hair is different when she was cooking breakfast.

Yes, Jack slipped up with the contents of the purse too.

One thing I found interesting was the bottle of pills that spilled out of the purse. Yeah, I'm sure everyone has pills they don't need/use anymore but imagine if they were important to her -- necessary or whatever. But then I thought, 'Well, they'll just get new pills elsewhere.' Same with Jack's number -- "oh, I'm a P.I., she thought of calling me, that doesn't mean I know her."

The hair dye thing was so sloppy to almost seem intentional. I loved it though. Made things a bit surreal and strange.

The sack.. I'm not sure. Yeah, buried elsewhere? Had to be. We never saw where he actually put the original money. It's safe to assume he wouldn't keep it in a briefcase that might be checked. He already didn't trust her. His biggest flaw in the movie was coming back to her at all though she is hot.

I just watched the movie on Xfinity On Demand and had to rewind to catch what happened. Jack buried the satchel of money RIGHT NEXT TO the briefcase. It is visible, partially covered in dirt, right next to the suitcase that Vince grabs after Jack falls in the water. So clearly the implication is that Jack is dragged back to the exact spot he fell from.
