I just got a new DVD with commentary - the scenes of parnel in jail are brutal to say the least. First night he is snaked uo the ass. Then after about 20 minutes of montage clips of him being snaked over a course of months he takes a shanking to the eyeballs as the prisoners take turns *beep* him. I can see why it didn't make the original film
20 minutes of him being tortured is a bit much but I did like how Blood and Bone and Kunjite Forbidden Subjects ended with their prison horror scenes.
I had an idea where you show contrast. In my idea for an ending Rainwood is awarded a few million dollars from the state in restitution due to the extremity of the injustice against him. Have a final scene where Rainwood is with his beautiful wife in a wonderful tropical paradise and in their beach house they are having sex in the bed (or maybe the sex is on the beach) and show a few seconds of Rainwood having sex with his beautiful wife in the tropical paradise then show a few seconds of the inmates gang raping the crooked cop, just as Rocky and Drago kept having their training scenes switched back and forth in Rocky 4 show a few seconds of Rainwoods sex with his wife and a few seconds of the villain getting raped.
Have it end with them both exhausted (but in a GOOD way) from the sex and they are in each others arms telling each other how much they love each other and snuggling, then switch to the crooked cop lying alone on the prison floor after all the gang rape inmates have had their fun with him and he is crying and bleeding out his backside.
I know this post is old, but is there really a DVD floating around with such footage or is this a joke? My research so far has come up empty. It appears as if the DVD releases were bare bone. If there is any truth to the OP's claims? Will someone link me to the DVD so I can purchase it for myself?
