I Guarantee, This Movie Is Going To Be Remade....

Yupp, since this is an 80's classic, Hollywood is going to someday, remake this movie with over-the-top special effects, crappy actors, and a *beep* script. & have gay pop music like Justin Bieber or Taylor Swift do a song during the movie or the credits.

That's just the way the cookie crumbles. "sigh" In this case, an oatmeal cookie...

Who do you think should remake this, if they were going to???

"Evil has many faces...just look at the Kardashians for an example"...

There actually are rumors about a remake in the works. I'm hoping they stay as rumors, though. This is one movie that just does not need a remake.

reply

Please, PLEASEEEE!
Don't put Adam Sandler, or Brendan Fraser or Ben Stiller or Will Ferrell as Wayne Szalinski
For the love of GOD!

reply

Sandler is a major NO-NO. Not so sure about Fraser, though I can see either Stiller or Ferrell playing Big Russ. Though the point is this film should not be remade.

reply

Plus, nobody can top Moranis in this role. Nobody. Not even Peter Scolari from the TV series.

reply

Please don't do a remake. This movie is fine the way it is.

reply

these are weird choices. All of these actors are pretty much barely acting anymore lol.

Sandler is sometimes in some stuff but nothing big and a lot of flops. All of these guys do a lot of behind the camera work nowadays instead of starring in the films themselves.

Looks like ur stuck in 10 years ago cavalier2305 lol.

btw i do agree with the people you wouldnt want in the movie. None of them suit the part. Honestly though, i dont think any of these actors would be offered the part, none of them really play genius yet quirky scientists. "scientist" is prolly the one role i dont know any of those actors have ever played when i think about it lol.

reply

Adam sandler should have never got in front of the camera to begin with, but world is weird that way.

Applied Science? All science is applied. Eventually.

if it is a adventure/comedy movie like the last it probely will not be good. but...... if its a comedy with will ferrel, jack black, robert downy jr, or jim carrey, it could be hilarios!
i mean if its a comedy with those guys, it would be a DEBT to the original, and it could be amazing.
but if its a adventure remake with ove the top effects..... then no.

reply

Who cares? (it was a stupid kids' movie anyway) unless some of you are just so unbelievably fascinated with nostalgia, which then I could understand.

reply

Anyone who grew up with the film cares.

reply

don't remake it, make another sequel. I much prefer when they try to keep the continuity of the previous films instead of doing a full out reboot (Ex. Star Trek 2009, Tron Legacy. Prometheus, Scream 4 etc.)

reply

^^Agreed! Just make another sequel. I'd love for them to go back and remaster the film. Fix up some of the effects, re-release it and leave it at that.

The major problem they will have if they remake this movie is finding a good cast. The cast for this movie is PERFECT! From the adults all the way down to the kids. The chemistry between the kids is so believable, there's no way they could recapture that.
So I say get Moranis, Strassman, Frewer, Sutherland and all the kids- especially Amy O'Neill- and do another sequel. That could be really fun

reply

Yeah! and they should title it "Honey, I Shrunk the Grandkids"

reply

Now that would be interesting. If only they could get Rick to come back to the movies.

reply

If they can get Rick Moranis back then heck yes...

But anyways, I liked the movie alot as a kid but I wouldn't really care about it getting remade...I'd hope for it to be good but it won't bother me either way.
