Honey I Blew Up the Baby looks SO MUCH OLDER than Honey I Shrunk the Kids!
As for little Nick in Honey I Shrunk the Kids, I thought it was a younger brother of the older kid that looks just like him in Honey I Blew Up the Baby XD
Now thinking about it.........it makes no sense, LOL.
The cinematography in Blew Up made the film look older than it was. I guess different film or too much light was used. It makes Shrunk look like it was shot in HD.
I thought I was the only one who made that mistake! I also was a little bit older when the baby movie came out and they always played it on tv but until I looked it up a few years ago, I thought the same thing. I still think the second movie looks older, having watched the first one again recently.
Rest in Peace Keith "Guru" Elam (1966-2010)...you will be missed.
I was barely 1 when Honey I Shrunk the Kids came out, and 3 when Honey I Blew Up the Baby and 8 when Honey We Shrunk Ourselves came out, but I am almost positive that I grew up with these movies and saw them all at least a few times by the time I saw the third one and several times after that, so I must have confused them up as well. However until today, I never knew Blew Up was the second movie, I thought it was the third and it still makes more sense that way. not only in plot but also in name schemantics, honestly, Shrunk, Blew, Shrunk? That's lame, and being as it's a lame movie compared to the others, I thought it was just a tacky add-on at the end.
I always thought it was like this: 1. Honey I Shrunk the Kids 2. Honey We Shrunk Ourselves 3. Honey I Blew Up the Baby.
Imagine my surprise when it turned out that 2 and 3 were reversed... I can understand how you'd be confused, I sure was, it was easy to do, especially as they do have a third kid, and barely show the sister. That kid could have just grown up a little. The sibling relationship between them sure has changed. It's also easy to do since they came out so long ago.
