Matt Frewer was only 31 in this?
I'm surprised Matt Frewer was only 31 years old when they've made this movie, I thought he was easily in his 40's in this movie.

His character probably was in his late 30s or early 40s considering the age of his children. They do this all the time in Hollywood. For example, on Frasier, John Mahoney(Martin, the father) was only 10 years older than Kelsey Grammer(Frasier, the son). Same deal on Good Times with John Amos and Jimmie Walker, and the Cosby Show with Phylicia Rashad and Sabrina Le Beauf

shareThe movie was filmed in late 1988, which means he was actually 30! He clearly looks at least 40 in the movie. I'm only 4 years younger than he was, and I could still pass for a high school senior. People just age differently, I guess.

That receding hairline and aging on his face sure made him look 45 even 50 easily. I remember as a kid seeing lots of other movies in the late 80s/early 90s that he had bit parts in, and he always looked and acted like a stereotypical middle aged guy. I guess Matt just aged faster than normal, it happens.
I'm around that age now, and simply realizing a 30 or 31 year old looking like a grizzled 50 year old dad indirectly makes me feel old.
