Does Slater really hate this film?

I remember reading somewhere that Christian Slater was ashamed of his part in Gleaming The Cube and prefered not to mention it? Is this true, and if so, why? This is one of my favorite movies.

Pretty sad of Christian Slater to judge his own crappy roles. That would be like Ralph Machio regretting Crossroads, you got a gig back then, be glad, nobody will remember you in a serious light or care about any of your crap films anyways. Pump up the volume was about the only thing he could come close to being proud of. I just like watching Mullen throw down a killer freestyle sequence at the end.

You've never seen Heathers, The Name Of The Rose, True Romance, Tucker, and even Young Guns 2? He had some decent roles. Hell, Kuffs and Tales From The Darkside were bad, but also good.

That was just one biased comment MisterShhh made here!! This kind of people are so annoying to read and just make me sick. Ignore them, that's the best way!!!

He also did a really good thriller last year called 'The Deal' with Selma Blair.

Watch that one if you really want to see Christian's acting chops, he's great in that!

Doesn't surprise me. Kevin Bacon put down his role in 'Tremors', and that while promoting Hollow Man. For the average action movie fan, which one is more memorable today? And I have no problem with The Frighteners for entertainment value, but there was Michael J Fox bad mouthing it on Leno as a major low point in his career.

All stars bad mouth their earlier movies to live up to critics expectations, or somethin'...

He SHOULD be ashamed of "Alone in the Dark"...that makes GTC seem Oscar-worthy!

What about 'Twisted'?
