Spoilers!

I think a lot of people got confused about Brian and Tina's relationship. Most thought that Brian was trying to "make moves" and flirt with her after his brother/her boyfriend was killed, in which is kind of wrong.

Not true, at least I thought so. Brian was just trying to befriend her and gain her trust because her father may of had a link to his brother's death. Moreso, Brian also tried giving her some closure to the loss of her boyfriend. Even when Tina went to go visit Brian in the hospital he clearly stated he'd be a friend she could rely upon.

I agree with you. Brian wasn't a scumbag. What bothered me is he was made out to be some sort of juvenile delinquent, but he didn't seem that bad at all. How exactly was he a "screw-up"?. Not being particularly academic hardly makes a person a failure

reply

he was actual a real good guy for looking out for his friends girl friend

That's just how people perceived skaters back then. It's been interesting to see skating become more accepted by the mainstream.

In the '80s, skaters were like the spawn of satan. Or just young wippersnappers, whatever. Wouldn't matter if he was a straight A student! How judgemental, huh?

reply

I remember the movie and at one point he talks to his mom/dad about pissing on goofy at disney land.... I dont think that makes him a scum bag but its not exactly the modal behavor.

reply

reply

How do you have spoilers on an 18 year old movie?
