shareit's not to dismantle the police though is it? I thought it was just to redistribute funds from excess police cash into community councilors and local workshops and mental health care etc? So that crime related issues are tackled before the police would intervene.

A lot of democrats want to literally get rid of police and replace them with something else stupidly thinking that whatever they replace it with will have no corruption. In my opinion they are wrong and you can't make there be no corruption no matter what you do. Cops who break the law should be fired and replaced with other cops who do want to uphold the law.
