Ghostbusters ll is not as good as the first movie but is def not bad

Ok so the whole ghostbusters going bankrupt after saving the city was stupid and being sued by every state county. I find that hard to swallow like Bruce Wayne being retired for 8 years in Dark Knight Rises but other than that, it's a pretty solid sequel to the first one even if it lacks some of the charm and wit.

You guys should see the marathon I did for Ghostbusters ll titled When The Dead Rise From The Grave. The theme is centered around the conversation Ray and Winston had in the car during the first movie about the dead rising from the grave prompting the existence of The Ghostbusters. The idea is that things get so out of hand that they are needed in the end to bring balance to things. You can check it out on my blog.

I like it too. Far from perfect (and definitely not the classic the first one is), but an enjoyable film nonetheless. The whole going bankrupt thing was kind of lame and the whole deal about people just not believing in ghosts anymore was really lame (you would think a giant marshmallow man destroying New York would be hard to forget). But still, fun cast, good effects, some great lines, and some genuinely hilarious scenes make this a fun movie.

I didn't think anyone thought the movie was bad until the invention of the Internet. I mean i didn't think its was great. But it was entertaining enough.

People not believing in ghosts anymore was dumb, but I found the whole bankruptcy thing kind of amusing. It set up my favorite scene in either Ghostbusters movie, World Of The Psychic.

The whole "not believing in ghosts" thing, wasn't that explained as being a money-making conspiracy of the GB? I can't remember but I thought they skimmed over it.

And to be fair, people think the moon landing was fake and think the earth is flat despite an unbelievable amount of evidence for both, particularly for the latter... :)

I have never understood where this movie had gotten the reputation of being bad or not as good as the 1st. It might not be as iconic or classic as the 1st one but it is a great sequel IMO. The classic lines, slapstick humor, good storyline and everything else, good soundtrack, it's all here.
