makes me realize how funny the sequal was over the first movie. When I was growing up with these movies I was well unaware that parts of the movie was suppose to be funny but I looked at them and thought it was more serious light-horror than comedy

Me too. I hadn't watched GB or GB 2 in a long while and remembered GB 1 to be way better but watching now.. GB2 is hilarious and a lot of people think it's too similar to GB 1 but I think it works just fine. The humor is almost as good as the original. It's not as far off as people want to perceive.
