Seems A Little Cheesy Now
Don't get me wrong it's still an entertaining and decent sequel but compared to the first and especially now, this film seems kind of cheesy. I think it's mostly the dialougue.

shareYou are cheesy and a nerd.
shareYes, because the first one was such a serious and grounded drama.
shareAnd the remake was a lousy poorly written braindead and unfunny piece of junk that was very useless and an example of what modern comedy gets it wrong and what 80s and 90s comedy did right.
"Unicorn, mermaid, vampire, sorceress! No name you'd give her would surprise me i love whom i love"
Read the trivia section. They made several changes to keep it more in line to the children's animated series. They made another couple changes to make it more family oriented like less innuendo and smoking... Things of that nature..
shareThe cheesy part is when they were in the courtroom and they said "Do ray and Egon said "Egon!" LOL!

See the remake if you want some cheese.
shareI've always found both movies to be quite silly, but still fun. Personally I've always much preferred part 2 over the original, but to each their own. It's a completely ridiculous premise (grown men believing in ghosts?), and actually makes you believe it. The new one is about on par with the original to me,but the sequel easily blows them both away
Don't give up the fight for truly independent cinema!
Sometimes cheesiness is good in the case of Ghostbusters if it is considered cheesy in the first place.
