The video game is absolutely nothing like this film
Gunhed was released for the PC Engine in Japan, and elsewhere for the TurboGrafx 16, where it was called Blazing Lazers. I first played the game in 1989, and soon found out it was based on a Japanese movie called Gunhed.
I always wanted to see the movie. The game was fantastic, and I imagined the movie was similar to Star Wars, with even more space battles.
Well, nearly 25 years later I finally got to see the film. I was shocked. No space battles at all. It's all in one area inside some base on Earth. I know video games often stray from their movie adaptions, but come on.
