dvd / bluray
this needs releasing 80s cheese love it
shareHuh? It's been released on DVD and Blu ray. Both are hard to come by but both are out there. Last blu ray on ebay sold for over £50 region 0
shareDvd region 1 yes...now out of print and expensive...blu ray never been available in region 1.
shareBlu ray is not available at all! What was sold on ebay was an HD broadcast that was recorded and bootlegged by a fan onto a BDR. The DVD was a very poor release by Artisan who just transferred their VHS/LD print.

I haven't seen a blu ray recorder on the market yet. Part 2 might see an official release on blu ray one day.
shareBluRay recorders have been around for awhile!

Maybe writers for the computer? None of the electronic stores in my area carry any.
shareRecordable Blu-Ray players are so easily available, I agree.
I would never, ever blame Steve Jobs 2 years after he died.
Do not speak his name or you will tarnish his legacy.
Try doing a simple internet search. I don't get why my announcing the existance of bluray burners is so unfathomable to some people. They're not hard to obtain! Oh, and btw - Steve Jobs passed nearly 2 years ago, so blaming him is really a moot and invalid point.

The last thing I would ever do is go to a WalMart.
This is the future, and all WalMarts have gone out of business.
Blu-Ray has gone out of fashion and can now only be found in dusty used media stores.
Um, okay - because they aren't advertised for your local WalMart they must be "uncommon." WHATEVER! You can get them at BestBuy and other *specialty* electronics stores; hardly uncommon. The *internet* is hot things are marketed nowadays.

You have a real chip on your shoulder.
The word 'how' is not spelled 'hot,' duh.
You could choose to be a humble person and post links and recommendations to your favorite player, but instead you choose negativity.
I'm not being negative; I just have low tolerance for those with no initiative. God helps those who help themselves. A simple google search is not a hard thing.
And EXCUSE ME for making one simple clerical error because I was typing fast - I AM ONLY HUMAN!!!!

The DVD version looks horrid. And rumor has it the bluray isnt so hot either.
shareThe Blu-ray was a bootleg, or so I heard, that was ripped from an HD-TV screening of the film. It was apparently circling around at horror conventions, but it's not a studio release. Probably looks ten times better than the Artisan DVD though. I own the DVD as well, and you're right; the print is VHS quality, plus it's full frame which is a joke. I had someone try to tell me that the Artisan DVD was a bootleg as well, but I don't see how that's possible, especially since mine has a legitimate barcode and the insert has the chapters on one side and a bunch of other Artisan titles on the other
shareI have the HDTV rip and it's actually pretty decent all things considered (certainly much better than any DVD release). It's 1080/60i with Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo audio and holds up pretty well on a fairly large screen.
