Bottle?
What was the story, if any, behind the bottle they open and drink right before playing "Your 16" together?
It seemed there might have been a story that hit the cutting room floor.
After Pfeiffer comes to his apartment, the next morning she's looking at a picture. Jack says something like "Terry's Taproom, the first gig we played together. He gave us that bottle but wouldn't let us open it." I'm guessing they were young kids and weren't legal to drink. You don't ever see the picture up close, but I'm guessing the bottle they're holding in the picture is the one that they're drinking.
