Question for Jazz fans who love this movie...

I first saw this movie when it came out on home video in 1990. I was 15 at the time. Just saw it again yesterday (now I'm almost 38, same age as Jack. YIKES!).

I'm a big jazz fan (and wannabe jazz musician) and when I watched this about 10 years ago or so, I though "Jack wishes he was Bill Evans." When I watched it yesterday, I thought I heard a little McCoy Tyner and MAYBE some Keith Jarrett in his playing. I realize its a movie and Dave Grusin likely played the piano, but someone knew what they were doing when they constructed his character and playing style.

So my question: Who do you think Jack Baker modelled his playing after?
