$3.50 for a pack of cigarettes! Who would ever pay that?
LOL! That part of the movie made it feel like it was made a lot more than 18 years ago.
In Mexico senor, these are the years of sadness.

As far as I am aware of, there are no such thing as "Persian Ovals"...there used to be "Turkish Ovals" which I smoked in the Eighties. It looks like she is actually smoking Sobranie Black Russians, which is what I currently smoke now, when in the mood. You can't get them in the states anymore. I think they are about $7 a pack, if memory serves. Depends how you get them. But I know the specialty cigarettes back in the Eighties were approx. that price. I paid it because they were much better and I didn't smoke every day. Can anyone else with a bigger TV screen confirm that what she smokes are indeed Black Russians? It has been making me a bit crazy in a trivial way for years.
shareShe said "Paris Opals", not "Persian Opals", but as far as I can tell, they don't exist either. Maybe Paris Opals were around back in the 80's? Unfortunately, my TV screen isn't big enough to see the brand.
shareThose cigarettes look beautiful in the movie.
