Decent number of B list stars for such a 'minor' movie!
When this film first came out on cable in 1990, my cousin and I watched it and thought it was SO funny. We were laughing at everything. Of course we were in our late teens, so after watching it here and there over the years it's still "ok" but not drumming up the laughs it used to. Considering that Charles Martin Smith, Rick Ducommun, Kelly Preston, Ayre Gross, of course Travolta (A-list now but not in 1989) and the dude that played Yuri (don't forget, he was the cop in "Vacation" who pulled Clark over!) .... all in all, many names that add up to what probably should have been somewhat of a hit on the big screen. I've read that it was barely released to theaters, and then it made the splash in the rental and home markets. With a lower budget film that has at least some actors that most people know, if this came out today with a similar list of stars it would no doubt be at least somewhat of a success at the box office.
As of right now, it's still a VHS only title so who knows if a DVD will ever come out. This movie is now kind of a cult classic, and should be a collectors item for Travolta fans indeed!
Bart's teacher's name is Krabappel? I've been calling her Crandall!!!
