Possible US DVD release?

I signed up for a "remind me when this movie comes on DVD" reminder on videoeta.com for Erik The Viking. After about a year of being on this list, videoeta.com finally sent me an e-mail saying this movie (Erik The Viking) was going to be released on Feburary 21st, 2006. When I looked up the UPC provided, it said it belonged to MGM. Is there anymore info on this release and any confirmation on this release?

Don't listen to that bozo there, he's just one of those many dudes that uses IMDb as way to sell bootleg dvds.

In response to the first post, AndrewDen, yes, this film in fact is coming out on DVD. It will have its Region 1 debut on Febuary 21st, released by MGM. Click here to see the news and to find the cover art.

http://www.davisdvd.com/news/news.html you will probably have to scroll down some. Click on 'gallery' at the top to find the cover art.

Thanks for the info. I hadn't planned on listening to that first person since I knew that a Region 1 DVD wasn't available (I use imdb and www.dvdaf.com as my first two souces for determining if a Region 1 NTSC DVD is available for a movie). I know of places that ship before street date so people can get their DVDs on or before street date, but never this early. I pre-ordered my copy of this movie today.

The fact that you are selling something that isn't yours still means you are selling a pirate or bootleg DVD, numbnut! You don't own the film in any way. Making ANY profit from selling a copy is still piracy. Jerk.

I do have this professionally converted from Region 2 to Region 1, with all menus, and special features intact.

Well, take a gander over at your posting history---what a coincidence that you have so many "professinally converted" dvds with "menus, and special features intact."

You can't argue against this dude, LoonFung has it right. It's bootleg plain and simple.

The artwork featured there is quite horrid, don't you think? Ghastly. I much prefer the R4 version, out of the 3 covers that i have seen. The cover is here:
