If terry jones' kid was a cook, he'd only make feces

i waited how long for this? why is it chopped to bits? i dont even understand why this was necessary. hey how come i havent heard of terry jones' son before? o wait its prolly cuz hes a failure. what makes him qualified to do this? who let them do this? i love this movie and whats been done to it is a damn shame. its a mess. just cuz you CAN edit a major motion picture on your mac doesnt mean you SHOULD. why is it a mad dash to get to the end? its like cliff notes for something you'll never be tested on. its ok to pace a film, that doesnt make it "slow." when you make a salad you use lettuce as filler, you dont just have a half eaten bowl of dressing do you? no cuz thats a bad salad. the only thing he didnt edit out was my berzerker rage.i hope terry gilliams kid comes over beats him senseless wearing a baby mask. i hope tim robbins starts a campaign against your arrogance and incompetence.

I'm with you on this one brotha! I was so pumped when I learned that the US was getting an ETV DVD. I bought it the day it came out. Then I watched it and just got annoyed. There was no reason the alter this film. It was great the way it was!

The original US cut of the film runs to 100 minutes. Unhappy with the film's slow pacing, Jones prepared a 90-minute cut for the British market, but was frustrated that he had not been given enough time to edit the film to his satisfaction. In 2006 Jones was given the opportunity of re-editing the film for DVD. Jones delegated the actual editing work to his son Bill, who produced a 75-minute "Director's Son's Cut" with re-ordered scenes and much tighter pacing as well as a completely remixed and re-dubbed soundtrack. Jones considered this highly appropriate because the original book was written for Bill.

I have to agree. It is edited so poorly it's not even a good movie... so sad.
