1. I think the best and funniest scene in this movie is when Jeff Goldblum's alien character is in a nightclub. He is seen extending his alien tongue several inches into a glass to get the ice cubes. There are two (2) college-age girls girls there watching him in disbelief; their eyes are full, bright, and glazed! One of them exclaims, "I'm going home with him tonight!!!"

2. I believe that these girls were acting dirty and certainly deserved a good tongue-lashing by Jeff's character! Any comments?

Actually it was Jim Carrey's character who does that. Then the girls say they are each taking him home, and Candy pipes in that SHE is taking him home and she grabs him by his shirt.

Sorry, but I just saw this movie on TV the day before I wrote the forum comment, and it was definitely Jeff Goldblum's alien character, NOT Jim Carrey's alien character!

Well then we can agree to disagree because I own it on DVD and watched it last night. They may have edited for TV or something b/c in both the theatrical release and the DVD it's Jim Carrey.

I also remember it as Wiploc - the Jim Carry character. The Jeff Goldblum character is busy outside with Geena Davis.
