Blondes at the beach scene.

Just some observations::

-It was filmed on Goleta Beach, Goleta CA. It's a somewhat isolated beach with a long pier. So it wouldn't be too crowded.

-Filming is done from both sides of the pier, so it's first on screen right then on screen left. Interesting that they included a sequence of going under the pier from one side to the other, as if they were trying maintain the orientation, like with the 180 degree rule.

-There was a near complete panorama shot following Julie around.

-Good steadicam work. There were just a few tripod shots, some low-angle.

-There were very pretty twin blondes on stage flanking the de-wigged brunette.

-The dancers were really good looking, better than average.

-It looks like they commandeered the whole beach. There were no ordinary looking people on the beach, maybe on the pier, but hardly distinct.

-You can see the sun angle change so they were filming the scene for several hours, possibly from before noon to pre-dusk. It appears to be edited to be almost in continuity, but not completely. It seems to start around noon and ends in the golden late afternoon.

-There appears to be a blue, yellow and orange-red color palette. There is no green in anyone's attire, just the leaves of the roses and a little on a surfboard.

-Julie is the only one wearing stripes. She's dressed to stand out.

I don't think it's Tia Carrere. Look at the profile at the very start, 1:46, and compare to:

The Earth-Girl girl doesn't have an oriental look to me.
Also, according to her bio, she was born in Hawaii and "While attending Sacred Hearts Academy school for girls, Tia was discovered in a Waikiki grocery store and landed the female lead in the indie movie Aloha Summer (1988)."
Aloha Summer was filmed in Hawaii in 1987, same time as EGAE.

It's not impossible, but I don't see her getting that California gig in 1987. Although the blonde-beach scene was filmed during post, it was probably in late summer or fall of '87. She's have been all wrapped up in the Aloha Summer role at the time, why would she go off to California for a role that wouldn't pay the airfare?

It's strange that her bio says she was "discovered" in Hawaii in 1987, but her credits start with Zombie Nightmare (1986), made in Canada.

I think you're on shaky ground, but good luck verifying your assumption.

I'm pretty darn sure the girl is Robia LaMorte, before she became part of Prince's entourage, and way before her playing in the first two seasons of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'.
And I kind of hate to bring this up, but did she have a nose job after this movie? The whole sequence moves pretty fast, but it looks like she has more nose here than she did as Jenny Calendar.

Because....its......not. She looks Jewish for crimeny sakes.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?
