Yes, this film was shown in the theater

Okay, to answer your questions, yes this moive was shown in the theater. I know because I saw it. LEt me begin by sayng that this movie had an excellent marketing campaign. Commercials were all over the tv, but this was back in the 80's when it didnt cost alot of money to have commercials shown.

this movie is bad. theres no doubt about it, and I'm a hard core van vamme fan. But this movie is bad. I saw this moive in the theater back in 88 and all around me, guys, girls, shouted at the screen and said this was a bad movie.

Some even tried to get their money back after the moive was over. I thought van damme would disappear, but then came death warrant and lionheart, and suddenly he was back on top.

I think the reason this movie failed was that american audiences, at this time, did not see alot of low quality films. Even Friday the 13th moives were making money. This was the heyday of hellraiser, freddy, and rambo. And say what you will, those monster and action moives made money.

Hollywood took a real chance on vam damme, due to his success with bloodsport and then released this, but it just didnt hit the mark and was quickly hated except for the cult status it has as one of the worst 80's films to be made.

I now own it to relive the memories. Rent it and youll see what I mean.
