I know This movie has a low rating but I keep watching it again and again and really enjoys it everytime. I think the post-apocalyptic setting us very nicely done. I especially like the ex-military gang that ambushes Gibson and his sidekick. Great clothing and you keep wonder whats their background, unit etc
Details can still be found evertime I watch this, anyone notice the handmade freeway sign just outside Atlanta that has a confederate flag and a direction to "Confedera.......". ????
That makes you wonder if there was a second civilwar in the fall of civilization. A prequel explaining this would be nice :-)

No, the "Confederacity" sign in the film was simply a pre-collapse sign directing people to what looked like a Civil War (1861-65)-themed kitsch attraction/theme park, not something like relating to a second civil war. If you go down to Atlanta, you'll see Confederate-themed stuff like that simply everywhere. It's practically a cottage industry down there.
