Probably one of my all time favourites!

I absolutely love this movie, but not for the reason most people probably think.

The special effects were cheesy, but there were parts that creeped me out. Mostly it felt like the Odyssey of a mad man. However... I think the music and the scenery captured the "feel" of the late 1980s "art" scene perfectly.

And some of the lines from the movie... still crack me up. I've tried to rationally figure out why I love "Communion" so much, since it is relatively corny. I like the overall basic storyline, true. And I do believe in extra terrestrials. Ordinarily the cheesiness of the movie would have detracted from it for me, but for some reason, for me, it worked in this movie as everything felt so insane already.

I just read the "Santa Knows." thread and almost sprayed my beer on the keyboard. :)
