Nope. Everything in it they pretty much did. In the japanese version there's a part where the cat struggles to climb back up the cliff.
shareIt's so sad...everything on the board is about the horrible cruelty, but this film is so wonderful and could have been made without harming or killing a single creature. The VHS box even states that it took seven years or some such amount of time to make it, but of course makes no mention of any cruelty. :'( Such a shame that it couldn't have been produced under the supervision of the American Humane Association. I adore the film to death, but can still never condone the savage abuse of innocent animals for the sake of entertainment. As much as I love Milo & Otis, if I could have stopped it from being made at that time in Japan just to save the injured or sacrificed animals...I'd have been compelled to do so.
