Depalma's Best Movie!

This is one of my all time favorite movies and imo it's Depalma's best movie by far. Does anybody agree with me?

reply

Yes. Which version have you seen? Theatrical or the extended cut?

reply

The extended cut

De Palma's most overrated film.

The greatest deception men suffer is from their own opinions. Right, klondie?

IMHO, DePalma doesn't have a best movie. They all range from terrible to just mediocre.

reply

Actually, ' Carrie ' was pretty well crafted, and so was ' Blow Out '. The rest of his sh-t is just that, sh-t.

reply

Carrie definitely had moments, but could've been better. Blow Out, again, had a few good scenes, but was basically a Hitchcock rip-off.

it was too tough to watch more than once.
I believe Blow Out was Brian DePalmas best film

'Phantom of The Paradise'! Perhaps not his best necessarily, but definitely his most unique, inventive and downright enjoyable film.

'Casualties of War' is of course a very fine film, and certainly one of the best in dealing with the war in Vietnam, but it simply just puts me through the emotional wringer way too much for me to view it again in its entirety. As finely made of a film it is, it's ultimately just too much of a depressing, ugly and horrendous film experience to have to endure IMO.

reply

No. This film is garbage.
