You may want to check out "My Lai", a 2010 documentary about the incident. Easy to find on a search, it's even on YouTube.
"Platoon" (among others) also obliquely nods to the massacre.
As a trivia note, the events of this movie were perpetrated by soldiers of the 1st Cavalry Division. In the movie, the characters are all wearing unit patches identifying them as being assigned to the 23rd Infantry Division (Americal) - the unit involved in the My Lai massacre.
