Compared to the John Hughes movies from the same era, the school reflects even the modern world.

I'm guessing you mean racial diversty? It's been years since I've seen I've seen this movie but I never really noticed. In any case, i think most High Schools were fairly integrated by the late 80s. I can't really comment on John Hughes 80s films as i only saw the Breakfast Club which only featured a handful of students as the main cast.

Bogus journey had diversity though. Death and Station.

Just wait till the reboot comes out. None of the historical figures brought back will be white people
