Have you ever given a class presentation in a theater?

What's interesting about this movie is how every student in the history class gives their final report in an auditorium rather then a classroom. This seems a bit much for a class on history and I myself thought it was strange until I took a drama class and a final assignment (a Broadway lip-sinc recreation) of ours was done in the school auditorium. I also heard that the engineering class also presented their creations in the auditorium.

While drama and engineering are far off from history, I then got a sense that maybe if the history teacher was gathering all the period classes and wanted his students to hear them all, then it WOULD make sense to host the presentations in the theater.

Have you ever had to give a presentation or assignment of some sort in a theater in High School?

I was in the concert band which gave a performance in the school auditorium a week or two before the end of the school year. Not quite the same as being up there all by myself though.

As a senior, I was the 2nd chair trumpet. One of the pieces we played was Shostakovitch's Fifth Symphony. The 1st chair and I played the same approximately 15 second passage that was heard above the rest of the band. We both failed to hit the same high note cleanly. After we finished our passage we both uttered a profanity under our breaths because of our screw up.

If I had to have given a solo performance on trumpet or an oral presentation in another class in an auditorium I would have pissed in my pants -- even if my bladder were nearly empty. In high school I don't recall volunteering any information in class from my seat more than six times in four years.

Its not unusual. That HS majored in world history. All history presentations were always in the theater because a lot of college representatives also would be in attendance looking for recruits
