I think there are differences, but I disagree that they are huge differences.

I think I know what he means. To me, the image is way too soft, and there's not nearly enough contrast, resulting in a muddy brown visual palette. Batman Returns looks sharper, has rich blacks, and the winter cinematography is gorgeous.

I like the look and atmosphere of Batman better than Batman Returns.
