What are they waiting for????

There have only been 2 shows EVER that I have been a fiercely dedicated fan of: The Young Riders, and Northern Exposure. It took them forever to release Season 1 of NEx. on DVD, and that was a more popular show than TYR. Will they ever do it???? I don't know how much longer my 15 year old VHS tapes can hold out. I'll be crushed if I lose them forever.

Oh, I know what you mean. Some of my tapes are barely even watchable. Maybe you could buy one of those programs that allows you to record movies onto your comp. They're not too expensive, unlike VHS to DVD recorders. I'd buy that, if it was cheaper.

When I watch them and am rewinding them, it seems to just take forever, and I sit there with my fingers crossed hoping the tape doesn't snap!
I would love a DVD with all those extra things--especially deleted scenes. There is not much on TV (despite 112 Law and Orders and 82 CSIs, as well as 847 reality shows) that can compare to this show.

At least you've got it on tape. I'm kicking myself for never taping it. ;)

Does anyone know where I can get TYR tapes? Did'nt even have a VCR when TYR was aired, how sad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know that if you look on Ebay every once and a while some one has them listed there, but usually they are really expensive for what you are getting...my husband and I are huge fans of this show and I know up unitl a couple of years ago it was still playing on the PAX channel, but I do not believe that it is anymore...I wish they would release the series on DVD...it seems like there is a prett good demand for the show.

I agree it is about time for the DVD's to come out. I grew up with this show and know each episode of by heart. I reasently had a terrible loss, I moved and during this process my tapes got lost. Now I am realy looking either to replace them or FORCE someone to bring out DVD's

I say its time we started forcing people to put TYR on DVD. I remember when it first come out. It is still my favorite show. All my VHS' are done in. I was so upset when my last tape quite working on me. I cried! I even still have an autographed picture of Ty Miller. Him and Buck were my favorites. Granted I couldnt help but love Teaspoon as well.

I've been looking for a TYR DVD release for years, now. It's very frustrating to know that not only is this one of the hardest shows to get back on the air, it's also almost impossible to find it anywhere at all, whether it be VHS, DVD, on the computer, or wherever else my mind can think of to look for it. I made the mistake of taping over some of my old episodes a while back, and now I'm deeply regretting it.

Why can't they just give us even one way to get a hold of this show?
