What are some Horror films that feel like they could've easily been part of the "Tales From The Crypt Presents" series alongside Demon Knight and Bordello Of Blood? Horror films that evoke a TFTC-like feel for you? Some that IMO feel very TFTC-like and could've easily been TFTC Presents movies:
Pumpkinhead Re-Animator From Beyond The Howling The Return Of The Living Dead Waxwork
From the Masters of Horror series, the episodes "Family" and "Right to Die."
From the Fear Itself series, the episode "Something with Bite" - this was actually directed by Ernest Dickerson who did Demon Knight, and it's the very best werewolf film I've ever seen. I doubt that such a magnificent-looking werewolf exists in any other film.
And also from Fear Itself, the episodes "The Spirit Box" and "The Circle."
Then there is the film Vault of Horror (1973) which is directly based on EC comics.
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) is not generally like TFTC on the whole, but the twist ending final scene is pure TFTC. IMO that's easily one of the top 5 endings out of any Hollywood film that has ever been made. 99%+ of Hollywood films don't have the courage to do endings like that.
The Wicker Man (1973) is another one (but if you've never seen this film, then do not search about it, or watch trailers, or read anything about it...because if you do any of that before watching it, then it will probably spoil the film for you!).
In addition to being like TFTC, all the films I mentioned in this post are also excellent horror films in their own right.
Family from MOH is so much like a TFTC episode, especially the twist ending. That feels like a TFTC episode that never got around to filming and got recycled for MOH, instead.
