I think the decline was more gradual than sudden. Seasons 1 to 8 were the golden years, 9 to 15 were very good, 16 to 20 were decent, 20 and beyond is fairly mediocre with occasional good episodes. Still worth watching.
I was a superfan. Then, I stopped watching at season 10. I thought, "How much more can there be?" Now, I've missed more than I saw. It will be like that with The Walking Dead, too. I'm about ready to stop watching, but it might go on 10 more seasons.

shareIt's tough to just pull episode names out when I'm not actually watching them,but The Departed was really good for sure. I can't remember the episode name,but the one where they try to write a young adult book was really funny too. It's a few a season,but more duds than studs for sure.
shareEveryone has their own likes and dislikes. For me, the golden years were from the second or third season through the eighth or so. I'd guess I've only seen maybe 10 percent of the last 10 years. Very hit or miss for me now.
It just seemed so much more clever in the early years.
