Not really dumb because she didn't know she would be going to college with them. She wasn't in the pilot episode of The College Years and in the second episode it was explained that she transferred in (much to Zack's chagrin as he had just told Leslie that his ex-girlfriend Kelly had died).
Although one thing that doesn't make sense in the graduation episode is that Zack says he's going to Yale in the fall (because he got over 1,500 on his SATs). It's never explained why he ended up going to Cal-U instead. share
