The complete series of quantum leap is finally on Netflix

I wonder what happened to finally have this this happen and I hope there could keep the right music if there was copyright issues

I saw that. It took them long enough. I haven't watched them yet, but I have seen the missing episodes on Hulu and they have the original music intact. So I figured if Hulu cut a deal with NBCUniversal, so could Netflix. Disco Inferno is missing, but that is also missing at Hulu as well as NBC.com, so it is either music or getting the permission to use an actor's likeness keeping it from being put on the services.

UPDATE (A few hours later): I have watched many of the episodes and it is pretty safe to say that the music is intact. Stuff that was replaced on the DVDs, but is on Hulu and NBC.com is also on Netflix.

I just checked this earlier today and I thought the pilot episode was missing

It's there.

Yeah it ended up showing up for me

It looks like "Disco Inferno" is still missing.

reply

That's odd. Wonder why that is?

I rewatched Disco Inferno on DVD last night. I suspect the reason why it might not be on Netflix is copyright infringement. The episode contains footage from Saturday Night Live, as well as footage from the movie Earthquake.

reply

Possibly. I would say it is more SNL than Earthquake. SNL is owned by Broadway Video, while Earthquake is property of Universal (which owns QL), so they can use it for whatever they want. The SNL rights would be harder to get since they would have to go through Lorne Michaels.
