Did you like the original leap effect better?

The one in the first few episodes where he was just blue and it was fast as opposed to the animation later.

No, I definitely prefer the full effect. I feel it reflects that electric thrill you get during important or endearing moments.

"Sorry, I mistook you for a corpse."

^ Seconded

In a way I like the full leap effect and in a way the original seemed more "realistic" if that makes any sense. I couldn't stand the one a few episodes in where it look like a lot of white light flittered out of him.

I liked in the pilot episode, where the audience didn't witness the leap. He was suddenly stood as a baseball player, looking confused. That must be what it's like to be Sam, suddenly one place then the next. Disorientating.

You couldn't do that for the entire series though, it'd make Sam leaping out less dramatic.

Actually in the pilot it was a very quick leap. That kid threw the baseball and everything turned blue then white and blue again as he caught another ball as the baseball player. Then at the end was a little longer but still quick blue leap into the professor.
