Finally Watched It...

and I have to say one of the greatest and most satisfying Westerns I've ever seen. All these years I put it off thinking it was a going to be a long melodramatic soap opera set in the West during the 1880's. Boy was I wrong. It was refreshing also to watch a series not plague with political correctness that has some ridiculous statement about racism or women's rights like so many movies today. Just a good genuine story that makes you feel that this was how the West was back in those days. You could never make a movie or miniseries like this today.

So glad you found it. I know it was popular in its day, but I wish even more people would see it now, years later. It holds up. One of my favorite movies even if it was made for television. And I'm not really one to like most westerns. LD is just a beautiful drama that happens to take place in the old west.
