Favorite moment...

Now that the dvds are being released, lets relive our favorite moments of Life Goes On...

My personal favorite was when Corky met another young man with down's syndrome who worked at a store. He didn't know he was "sick" though because his mother had told him that he was different so that God could pick him out from among all the other people on earth. I thought that was a fantastic viewpoint.

What are some of your favorite moments?

The mind must be free-free from the pain of yesterday, the fear of tomorrow, the storms of today.

My favorite moment by far is from "Paige's Mom" in the final scene when Libby and Paige are talking, and Paige calls Libby "Mom". Just a sweet moment and really captures what worked best when this show was firing on all cylinders.

Mine's when Corky decides to "stick it" to the bullie's he'd been hanging out with by donning a leather jacket and lip-synching Public Enemy's Fight the Power at the talent show.

Hells yeah, MC Corky! STICK IT TO THE MAN!!!

My favorite moment in the series was when Corky and his fiance decided to take it to the next level by sleeping together. They get into bed, and Corky says that they need protection. He then puts his arms around her, asks her if she feels safe, and they proceed to sleep. Together.

I loved it.

Is this the same episode where they make macaroni and cheese together?

My sister is Downs, she had a huge crush on Corky! We always watched it and her favorite moment, also mine, was when Corky hid the huge pig in the house, it was in his room, in his bed, a 300 pound pig, and when his parents came bursting in and said, 'where did that pig come from" Corky looked straight at them and said, "What pig?"
To this day, whenever we see a pig, we always look at each other and say, 'what pig' and totally burst out laughing. A great memory!

I really liked it when, at the end of the pilot episode, the whole family and their friends did The Stroll to Fats Domino's "I Want to Walk You Home". It was very tender and showed how closeknit and loving they were.

reply

More like how in denial they were, but sure.

I just watched the first disk from Netflix. That's exactly what I said when I saw that seen "loving." Too bad that there are not as many TV shows protraying families like that now.

There were so many moments that really touched me. I just bought the DVD sets and started to feel like a pansy because I can't help but cry during so many of the sentimental moments as well as the sad moments. One of those being when Tyler takes his brother to the Special Olympic games against his father's wishes. The father comes in and tells Donnie he has to come home. Donnie then looks at Tyler and says, "Tyler, why does dad hate me?" Oh my God that ripped at my heart and I started to cry. Well I don't care what anyone says. I am a 26 year old guy and am not ashamed to cry. As someone mentioned earlier, the moment when Paige finally calls Libby mom was awesome. This show was so wonderful. We need more shows like this today.

My favorite moment was during the pilot episode when Corky recites part of "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe.

I truly found the love triangle arc at the end of season four (Ray, Becca, Jessie) the most compelling and deeply well acted. But for my most favorite moment I would have to say in the second-to-last episode when Becca is taking care of Jessie and he wants to take a shower all by himself, he shows a strength that the actor (Chad Lowe) could have contended an Oscar to fight against his real-life ex-wife's (Hillary Swank).

Don't hate me because I'm beautiful (because I'm not)

The last episode was really awesome, but I was upset about how they had to end it so abruptly. I loved how they portrayed the triangle of Ray, Becca, and Jesse. It’s so true how Ray fell in love with Becca, but Becca was in love with Jesse still. I thought Ray’s character was brilliant. The writers had a tough job trying to make a character so appealing that we would fall in love with him too. Let’s face it, most of us really wanted to see Becca and Jesse together, but there were times I sided with Ray. Awesome storyline.
