This ranks as high as Murder, She Wrote (almost) as a very comfy and cozy tv show about old amateur detectives. The DVD is worth tracking down—the quality of the digital files you’ll find online ain’t great. Less than $20 for the complete series. Highly recommended. These days there is so much inane, badly written garbage on tv. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore. Sure, it’s not realistic, it’s not flashy, it’s not HBO, and thank God for that.

there's a TV show in the UK called Father Brown. I saw the title of this and thought it was that for a second

there must be something about dowdy crime solving vicars. not sure what it is though
