sister stephanie
i just started watching this show and noticed that it is based on books of the same name. does anyone know if sister stephanie is in them or just an original character for the tv show?
shareI know it's been a year since you asked this question, but I'll answer it anyway. There is no Sister Stephanie in the books. It's interesting. The books are about a Father Roger Dowling who lives in Detroit. The TV series is about a Father Frank Dowling who lives in Chicago. I've decided that the two Father Dowlings are cousins.

She's a good character, though I do tend to wonder from time to time why a nun is hanging round with a priest so much rather than off doing nun things with the other nuns.
