How+Why did Booker leave the force?

How&Why did Booker leave the force?

Seems like it had something to do with Hansen going to prison but i'm hazey on the deets?

Also why did Hansen leave Jump Street?

reply

Booker left because he was clearing Hanson's name but didn't do it the "police" way I guess you could say (by filling out the forms, getting signatures by all the right people, etc.). Since he didn't use all the right forms or procedures or whatever he got moved to some like research division where he would work by himself like he preferred (it said that a few times during the episode.) He said he'd rather not be on the force than doing that work or something along those lines.

reply

He did want to work alone, but the captain said that because he broke so many rules he was going to get a desk job and probably never work the field again, so he turned in his gun and badge and walked. It was a reaction to a disciplinary measure (and also a neat package for a spin-off series)

reply

It wasn't just not flling out the right forms and following proper police procedure; he also lied and illegally got Hansen out of prison for 24 hours to help investigate (Booker lied and said Hansen was attending Ioki's funeral). It was all of those actions combined that led to the disciplinary action of re-assigning him to the research department. Also, and I'm not blaming terrible_tig for this because it may be unintentional, but tig's post might sound misleading, as Captain Fuller was merely the one delivering the news to Booker, and not the one who actually made the decision; in fact, Fuller sympathized with Booker and said he didn't blame Booker for quitting the force after that decision.

Screw procedure he was right to quit police are usually bad people anyway!

i would ask why did Richard Grieco leave the job, or why was he kicked out?

Dang, I didn't know that. It's odd that Johnny Depp would do that when I have read several times that he supposedly did not enjoy all the female attention he got from 21 Jump Street (that his sex symbol status annoyed him). I also read a recent interview with Richard Grieco in which he congratulated Depp on his acting success but said that he would not want to be in his position, that he is happy with the choices he made and shifting his focus to painting. Booker was my favorite 21 Jump Street character when I used to watch it as a kid, in part because he was so cool. I just finished watching Season 3 and the first episode of Season 4 (when Booker leaves the force), and I plan to watch the Booker series next. I have to say that I am still a Booker fan :)

He didn't want to B a Vic Mackey and get stuck at a desk in a place where U can't even change the thermostat without calling somebody. Yeah he would probably take a leak on the floor just to rebel. Lol

Spoiler alert for them spoil sports out there! Y'all like spoiled milk, stop crying over it!
