Don't be mad at Michael Manchester

I live in Massachusetts, and I go to school at Bridgewater State College, and Manchester just happens to be in one of my classes. He told us all that he was in this movie, and said that his mother got him the part (what kind of mother would let their child act in a movie like this is beyond me). It was the only movie he ever did, and he had no training, so don't blame him. The movie would've sucked no matter who they got to play that part.

We Understand and agree!!

He was only a kid so I think it's easy to disregard his performance considering his young age.

Have a cold one on me!!

Well, he did give one of the worst performances I've ever seen. The poor kid seems retarded (literally). Either that or he hadn't slept in weeks. Maybe it was a rough shoot for him! He has no energy, no inflection in his voice, doesn't even seem to know what's going on (and I don't mean because of the witchy stuff).

"I love you Jane. I love you Jane. I love you Jane." LOL!

But I'm not "mad at" him. It's not like this is some great movie that he ruined! And his acting was only slightly worse than Leslie's! What's her excuse?

That's funny that you were in a class with him though! That's pretty cool, even if the movie is awful! Hey, he's in more movies than I am! And at least the movie is awful in a memorable way! (There's a reason we're on this board, right?!)

He has another movie this year. "For Liberty" I wonder how he acts in this one.

I actually like the movie. It didn't suck at all. He could have been A LOT worse. And he was only 5, wasn't he? I wouldn't expect an Oscar worthy performance from someone that young.

Ha! Not only did I grow up in Massachusetts as well....but I lived in the same neighborhood as Michael Manchester! We grew up literally a few houses away from each other! WEIRD. If you see him, tell him Andrew Lusk said hello.

I don't blame him, but he was still terrible in the movie. The blame goes to the producers and director. Sure this is low budget, but if you have the money to hire David Hasslehoff and Linda Blair, certainly there was enough money for a halfway decent child actor.
