Why is it Sometimes Known as 'Ghosthouse 2' or 'La Casa 4'?
Where did those titles even come from anyways?

shareWitchery was an Italian/American co-production, therefore in Italy it's title was "La Casa 4." The film Ghosthouse was also an Italian production which really doesn't have anything to do with this film, aside from the fact that both movies involve a haunted house. The original Ghosthouse was somewhat a success in the U.K., so British distributors labeled this film Ghosthouse 2 to try and cash in on the success of the original. I really don't know how distributors got away with this back then without getting sued, but a great number of Euro-horror films where mis-labeled this way back in the day.
shareIn Ireland it is on DVD and is labeled as ''Witchcraft'' Rated: 18, it is a good horrror movie, I must sit down and watch it all someday. Linda Blair is the most sexiest witch I have ever seen.
shareI rented this out after watching Ghoshouse when I was younger thinking it would be the sequel! It had nothing to do with Ghosthouse. Don't know why they titled it Ghosthouse 2!
I remember seeing it in Blockbusters to buy on DVD titled Witchcraft and on the back it said aka Ghosthouse 2.
I just remember the death of the old lady scared me for years after. It was horrible. I still couldn't watch it now. Plus the Ghost of the other old lady was pretty scary too.
The American movie Evil Dead was released in Italy as La Casa, and Evil Dead 2 as La Casa 2. So, La Casas 3,4, and 5 were unoffical "sequels" in Italy. When they released them to other countries, they changed the names so as not to confuse audiences.
shareAfter Italy made La Casa 3,4, and 5, they released the American movies House 2 as "La Casa 6: La Casa di Helen" and The Horror Show (aka House 3) as "La Casa 7"
Here is a link that shows all the "La Casa" films. It's in Italian but you can still see the posters and get the idea (scroll down to the C's):

Also keep in mind dr funk, as tom say, so it dont confuse the audience and name changing was necessary because countries got their own familiarity on how they see and understand things, in their own words.

The only thing that Ghosthouse and Witchery had in common was that one shot of a street was used in both. At end of Ghosthouse when the guy (I can't remember his name yet just watched it a few hours ago) gets hit by a truck there's a shot of a street before it and in Witchery, after the witch freaks Jane out by disappearing before her the final shot of the scene is the same street in Ghosthouse.
Have a cold one on me!!
In Germany, GHOSTHOUSE is known as GHOSTHOUSE. GHOSTHOUSE 2 is Lamberto Bava's THE OGRE. GHOSTHOUSE 3 is Lenzi's abysmal HOUSE OF LOST SOULS. GHOSTHOUSE 4 is Lenzi's better HOUSE OF WITCHCRAFT.
