Weasals racism?

One of the weasels in the film is "Greasy, the Mexican second-in-command of the weasels, and has long greasy black hair and dark brown fur. He wears a green zoot suit"
He curses in Spanish. Is the name greasy a slur and is the character a stereotype?

I thought the film was original and funny. Still, there were things such as this.

Greasy does appear to be (wildly) stereotypically Mexican. On the other hand, it was the '40s, in which the zoot suit was very popular. As was racism toward Mexican-Americans. I would absolutely consider greasy a slur in this case.
