THE 'WAXWORK' SOUNDTRACK IS OUT TO BUY!!
12/26/2011
I hope everyone here had a great weekend and, to those who celebrate it, I hope you had a Merry Christmas too. Anyway, composer Roger Bellon has officially put out his score of "Waxwork" out to buy. Unfortunately, the tracks are out of order (example: the music of track #9, "Sarah and the Marquis", is when Sarah arrives in the Marquis display, but the music minutes later in the scene where the Marquis kisses/starts to whip Sarah is track #20, "Wh*re That You Are") and some of the score from the movie is left out entirely (such as when Mark and Sarah stand outside watching the Waxwork burn down). Curiously, this is only found to download online and it doesn't look like a sold-in-stores CD version will be sold in stores.
In fact, two of the tracks are almost considered bonus tracks, because track #18 "No Squeeze Tonight" sounds different from the actual music playing when Mark tries to kiss Sarah in front of her apartment building (that music DOES appear though in track #24, "Whip Me, Daddy", because that same music plays when Mark helps Sarah up to her feet and they leave the Marquis display), and track #25, "Waxwork (End Title)", is actually just the theme heard again with the mentioned music of Mark and Sarah leaving the Marquis display in track #24, and the scene where Wilfred arrives with his army to help Mark and Sarah burn down the Waxwork.
If you're a true "Waxwork" fan, I HIGHLY recommend you download this awesome soundtrack (and as a tip, I also recommend you buy ALL of the soundtrack rather than just buy the tracks you want, as it'll save you about fifteen bucks to get the whole soundtrack for $10 as opposed to the $1 per song downloads).
