J. Kenneth Campbell who played the Marquis (I believe he also played Angel's father in the Angel series) is superb. You are right. The kiss is very sensual. I like smaller films with great performances from lesser known lead actors and this film is full of them as well some great touches from old stagers like Patrick MacNee, David Warner and John Rhys Davies. The flogging scene is damn sexy. It could have been a bit too much handled by a lesser director, but it stands as one of the most erotic things i have seen in film. Lots of chutzpah.

Yeah, it's absolutely amazing. I sort of pity people who consider this kind of erotic preference as perverted or sick and can't recognize the beauty and sexiness of it. As long as the receiving person consents, and she clearly did (if that was the waxwork's doing in this case doesn't matter), there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Quite the opposite. ;)

You're exactly right. BDSM is a legit form of sexuality where people aren't forced into this behaviour, they submit willingly. This is what we see in this scene: Sarah submits to the Marquis. She isn't forced. I wish this behaviour was explored more on the screen. Check out a film called Paris France for a cracking spanking scene. It's great even if the rest of the film is not.

Oh Sweetie, I remember the two ladies, smiling as they glided their hands down the marble columns, that held the manacles. If you haven't noticed this part, please check the scene out again. While the Marquis and Sarah engaged in liplock, the prince made a smug look, as if he wanted to say, "So you are more than ready. You accept what is going to happen to you and you think that you can handle it?"

Yeah. That scene really had everything to make it extremly sensual. There is this indescribable tension in the air. I always wish that Mark wouldn't barge in and ruin it all. But alas, it happens every time... :( ;)

Yeah, it's just that "Waxwork" seems to take the opposite side. The Marquis is a monster in this film and Foreman's character is only consent to his whipping because she's under his spell.
